Denise

Denise was the best actress I ever worked with. I never knew whether she was really crying. Denise was also my big sister, mother substitute and conscience.
When I was recently homeless and destitute she made sure to lend me more money than I needed at a crucial time. I'm sure Joe had something to do with it. She offered, I didn't ask.
In Schwienfurt Germany in '86, the Pros From Dover lined up laundry in hand while Denise washed the clothes in the hotel room sink. Our clothes were dirty and she didn't trust us to wash them ourselves.
Late '70's - Denise threw me over her shoulder (I weighed about 190) and ran off the stage, as scripted, head first into a pillar offstage. She calmly backed up, put me down, and went on with the show. I went to a show I produced at that venue last week, and Denise went with me. She spent many hours on that stage and made it a better place, I am very grateful to have shared some time with her.
